We envision a world where OCD treatment is understood, effective, and accessible—for everyone who needs it.
Here’s How You Can Help
OCDMN Access FundExpanding Access to Specialized OCD Care
At the OCD & Anxiety Center of Minnesota (OCDMN), we believe everyone deserves access to high-quality, evidence-based care for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety, and related conditions.
The OCDMN Access Fund was created to remove financial barriers and ensure individuals can receive specialized OCD treatment—regardless of their ability to pay.
Our Mission
To expand access to high-quality OCD and anxiety care by removing barriers, reducing stigma, and strengthening an informed, compassionate community.
Our Vision
We envision a world where OCD treatment is understood, effective, and accessible—for everyone who needs it.
Why We Are Private Pay
We believe transparency matters. Here’s why our private-pay model is essential to ethical care, clinical quality, and long-term sustainability—and why the Access Fund exists.
Fair Wages for Clinicians
We are committed to compensating our highly trained, specialized therapists fairly, allowing us to attract and retain top talent dedicated to evidence-based OCD treatment.
Quality of Care
Private pay allows us to provide clinically appropriate session length, frequency, and treatment approaches without insurance-imposed limitations.
Client Privacy
By not billing insurance, clients maintain greater control over their mental health information and privacy.
Insurance Limitations
Many insurance plans do not adequately cover gold-standard OCD treatments such as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) or Inference-Based CBT (I-CBT).
This model is common in highly specialized mental health care and allows us to maintain the highest standards of treatment while supporting long-term sustainability for both clients and providers.
How the Access Fund Works
100% of donations to the Access Fund are used to:
Subsidize therapy sessions for individuals who would otherwise be unable to access care
Support outreach and education efforts to reduce stigma and connect underserved communities to specialized OCD services
We aim to provide partial or full coverage for therapy sessions for individuals in Minnesota, based on financial need, clinical appropriateness, and available Access Fund resources.
How Scholarship Recipients Are Selected
Scholarships are awarded through a simple, dignity-centered process:
One Individuals must be receiving treatment at OCDMN for OCD, anxiety, or related conditions
Two Applicants complete a brief Access Fund Scholarship Request Form outlining financial need and circumstances
Three Priority is given to individuals from historically underserved or marginalized communities (including BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and neurodivergent individuals), as well as those facing significant financial or insurance barriers
Four Scholarships are awarded for an initial 3-month period (approximately 6 sessions), with the option to renew based on continued need and available funds
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis by OCDMN leadership to ensure thoughtful, ethical, and responsible stewardship of donated funds.
